1. ) Below is a picture of Faye Brophy, Nelson's Mom, who will for the first time, ride and lead Nelson's Ride, Sunday, August 23rd, from the Stage Fort Park in Gloucester, on BostonBiker.com Larry Cahill chopped out "Midnight Crisis" Trike ! This will be the first time Faye has rode the Ride, as she is generally at the road side memorial thanking and waving to the average 1,500 riders and passengers, for continuing to honor her Son and "riders helping riders." Be sure to be near the bandstand at about 11:30 Sunday as she thanks all of you.
2. ) This coming Thursday night - August 20th - final Volunteer's meeting at 7:15 , - at the Ipswich VFW. "Operating Procedures" for the various stations (traffic, parking, collecting donations, obtaining liability signatures, greeters, will call, products booth, raffles, auctions, bike games, and break down - ) will be distributed, for consistency and uniformity of information and procedures to the over 80 volunteers donating their time and talents in making Nelson's Ride an enjoyable Event for all. If you can help at Nelson's Ride, please attend this information meeting Thursday night, August 20th.
3. ) If you'd like your advance 10th Annual Nelson's Ride Event t-shirts, patch and pin set, MMSF Raffle tickets (drawing at Nelson's Ride - need not be present to win) mailed to you before the Ride, the DEADLINE for ordering on-line via credit card payment is Monday night, August 17, at 11:59 p.m. Orders will be mailed Tuesday or Wednesday. Limited to approximately 35 mile radius from Methuen - (otherwise cut a deal with Scott to send his crew a bit further). Scott, a longtime supporter and rider, will have his landscaping trailer at Nelson's Ride.
