1. ) Vince's (historically accurate) weather forecast, challenge, and Pledge !
(He put this out (Monday night)

"Ok, I am going out Early this year with the Guaranteed Weather report.

My Guarantee:

For every minute that it rains before 6:00 p.m., in Gloucester, on Sunday, August 23rd, I will donate to the Fund $10."

Pleasant with sunshine and patchy clouds. This will be a PERFECT Day!!!!

Thunderstorm possibility less than 10% and that is early evening

Earliest possibility of rain in Gloucester is 6PM

UV Index will be high (6) plenty of sunscreen will be needed

If you miss the Tenth Annual Nelsons Ride because of (alleged) weather, you are a wussy! (says Vince)

Hurricane Bill will NOT be a problem until Tuesday but he WILL be threatening New England on Tuesday

2. ) This coming Thursday night - August 20th - final Volunteer's meeting at 7:15 p.m., - at the Ipswich VFW. "Operating Procedures" for the various stations (traffic, parking, collecting donations, obtaining liability signatures, greeters, will call, products booth, raffles, auctions, bike games, and break down - ) will be distributed, for consistency and uniformity of information and procedures to the over 80 volunteers donating their time and talents in making Nelson's Ride an enjoyable Event for all. If you can help at Nelson's Ride, please attend this information meeting Thursday night, August 20th. Groups and individuals with MMSF raffle tickets and funds are encouraged to bring the stubs and cash/check Thursday night !

3. ) Listen Wednesday night, August 19, 8:00 p.m., on-line web radio - for Nelson's Ride promotions, on a live talk show about the recently enacted EPA stamp tax enacted by the City of Boston, which calls for a $300 ticket if that EPA imprint is not readily visible to law enforcement, and the lawsuit filed by local "Justice Riders" - including three MMSF Board Members - to repeal that Ordinance. 4. ) Advance Ride Tickets and limited number of 10th Annual Event T-shirts, Patch/Pin Set, and MMSF Raffle tickets are still available, however, mail order registration is closed.
